WORKSHOP DETAILS

This is truly a special workshop to come to Belfast. A rare opportunity to study with a true legend of the Sambadrome.

This weekender is for people who play in carnival bands, drumming groups, percussionists and other musicians. Carnival will have just finished a few weeks before the workshop so all the material will be fresh from the streets of Rio.

Learn new rhythms, musical arrangements, songs, and percussion instrument techniques all facilitated by world class tutors whilst meeting old friends and making new ones from other bands.
 
Be prepared to learn some great arrangements. The classes will be fun and challenging. Taught by 3 expert tutors who have a combined teaching experience of over 50 years.
 
FREE STUFF
Each workshop participant will be given two free e-books worth £50. One of which will include the bossas taught at the workshop. The other contains the main samba grooves of the different premier league samba schools in Rio. All written by Gabriel Lopes the writer of the book "As Bossas do Mestre Maurão" & "Mestre Dudu - As Paradinhas da Não Existe Mais Quente"
These will both be sent once the workshop has finished.

INSTRUMENTS
Caixa, repique, surdo, tamborim, agogô, chocalho & timba. Please bring both your 1st and 2nd bateria instrument choice if possible.
