What to Expect
Saturday – Traditional Samba from Rio de Janeiro
• Learn a specially crafted arrangement made by a *traditional samba school from Rio de Janeiro for Carnival 2025.
• Develop instrument technique and tuning skills.
• Explore the historical and cultural roots of samba.
Sunday – Monobloco Style & Brazilian Rhythms
• Learn an exclusive *Monobloco-style* arrangement.
• Discover traditional Brazilian rhythms in a modern, dynamic format.

Our goal is to bring *fresh information straight from the source. You'll learn **new ways of playing the samba groove, the **latest technique approaches, instrument **tuning methods, and the **best drum breaks from the most recent carnival. We will also cover **new ways of playing turns and repique calls, all with a strong focus on an **efficient teaching method* that improves technique, introduces new concepts, and expands the *musical vocabulary of participants at any level*.
All workshops are taught with a *fun, relaxed approach* and can be tailored to suit your needs.
Samba Shop: A selection of instruments, accessories, and t-shirts will be available at the workshop for participants to browse and purchase.
Gabriel will also have copies of his books to sell.
