The fee covers

• 14 nights' self-catering accommodation in apartments in Copacabana. Check in Sat 21st Nov, check out Sat 5th December 2026

• Tutor fees

• Venue Hire

• Any necessary instrument hire

• Travel to hard-to-reach classes

• Translator

• Course co-ordinator

• Admin and production

• A course t-shirt and goodie bag

• JP Courtney will be on hand during the whole course

You will also be given access to private social media/messaging groups used for course information, apartment-specific communication and one for social activities, including gigs, rehearsals, sightseeing, shopping, etc.

 

What the fee does not cover

Flights, Airport transfer, food, travel insurance, sun cream, souvenirs, beer or caipirinhas!

Booking

To book your place on this course, a non-refundable deposit of £300 must be paid upon registration. The deposit amount is taken off the fee. You can choose to pay more than  £300 on registration; only the £300 will be non-refundable.

If the course is cancelled, we will return your payments to you, including the deposit.

We will also endeavour to reorganise the course to another date to which you can transfer your fees free of charge.

You can opt to pay the full fee amount on registration or set up a standing order to help spread the payments.

We cannot guarantee a shared room unless someone of the same sex also books a shared room. The earlier you book, the more chance you have of getting a shared room. If there are none available, you will have to upgrade to the own bedroom rate.

*Registrations from 1st Sept 2026 must be paid in full upon booking and may incur an additional £50 admin fee to deal with rebooking of accommodation and additional tutors.

 

Travel Insurance

It is the responsibility of the participant to arrange their own travel insurance.

2027 Wish List

If you can't make the next course but want to come in 2027 you can get £50 off these fees by going on the wish list. There is no obligation to sign up. The 2027 wish will open on the same day the 2026 course goes on sale.
