Traditional surdo beaters as used by all Rio samba schools.  Wooden handle and a head which is hard internally but with a soft exterior.
 
Four different size options to choose from.
- Extra small head (Coquinho), length 33cm. Suitable for a very high tuned 3rd surdo or any surdo with a small head like the nesting surdos from Contemporânea.
 
- Extra small (Coquinho) 36cm, head diameter 2.8cm. Suitable for 14, 16 & 18” surdos. Also suitable for any small bass drum, including zabumbas.
- Small, length 33cm. Head diameter 4cm. Suitable for 16" 18" & 20" diameter Surdos
 
- Medium, length 36cm. Head diameter 5cm. Suitable for Surdos of 22" diameter and above.
 
- Extra Large, length 41cm. Head diameter 6cm. Suitable for a 22" 24” 26” 28” Surdos or bigger.
Helps in producing a warmer, rounded tone, from the surdo.
