As used by percussionists in Bahia and made by the supplier of so many of the blocos afros and samba reggae groups in Salvador, Brazil.
 
This authentic and rustic style beater is strong but extremely lightweight.
They can be used for playing traditional styles or used as a nice light beater, which can work on many different types of bass drums.
 
Please note the rustic nature of the beaters, having been individually hand-made in Salvador. What they lack in pristineness, they gain so much more with their charm and authenticity.
