JP Percussion – Returns, Refunds and International Orders

1. Before you send anything back
Please contact us first at mail@jppercussion.com or +44 7562 598940. We'll give you a returns reference and the return address. Returns sent without a reference may be delayed or unable to be processed.

2. Changing your mind (UK consumers)
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have 14 days from the day you receive your order to tell us you want to cancel. You then have 14 days to return the goods to us.

Goods should be returned unused, in their original packaging where possible, with all parts, heads, keys, straps and accessories. You can inspect an item as you would in a shop. If an item has been used, tuned, marked, had heads changed or its packaging damaged, a deduction will be made to reflect the reduction in value.

Return postage is paid by the customer, and the goods remain your responsibility until they reach us, so please use a tracked service and pack drums as they arrived. We refund the item price and our standard outbound delivery charge (not express or upgraded options). Refunds are made within 14 days of receiving the goods back, to the original payment method.

3. Items that can't be returned
– Custom, personalised or made-to-order items, including specially ordered instruments
– Earplugs and hygiene-related items once opened
– Drum heads and skins once fitted or removed from packaging
– Course bookings and vouchers (see course terms)

4. Business, school and band orders
Cancellation rights under section 2 apply to consumers only. Orders placed by businesses, schools, universities, bands or other organisations are not eligible for change-of-mind returns. Faulty goods are covered under section 5.

5. Faulty, damaged or incorrect items
Please check your delivery on arrival and report any damage, fault or error within 48 hours, with photos. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 you have 30 days to reject faulty goods for a full refund; after that we will repair or replace first. Where an item is confirmed faulty, we cover return postage and refund in full. Instruments are natural, handmade products and variation in timber, hide, finish and weight is normal and not a fault. Damage from misuse, over-tightening, incorrect beaters or ordinary wear is not covered.

6. Hide heads and natural materials
Natural hide heads react to humidity and temperature. Splitting from over-tensioning or environmental change after delivery is not a manufacturing fault.

7. International orders – customs, duties and taxes
Our prices are in GBP and do not include any import duties, taxes or handling fees that may be charged in the destination country. These charges are the responsibility of the customer and are not refunded, including where an order is returned. We are unable to confirm what charges will apply, so please check with your local customs authority before ordering.

Please note that orders to the United States and the European Union are now assessed for duties and taxes regardless of value. Carriers may also charge a handling fee for customs clearance.

If a delivery is refused or returned to us because charges were not paid, the outbound and return shipping costs and any fees charged to us will be deducted from the refund.

International returns should be clearly marked "Returned goods" on the customs declaration. Any duties or fees charged to us on a returned parcel will be deducted from the refund.

8. Course bookings
Course and workshop bookings are covered by their own terms at the point of booking.

9. Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.
