Learn Samba Drumming at Escola de Bateria
Welcome to the Escola de Bateria – a travelling percussion school offering workshops and courses in Brazilian percussion music to groups and individuals at all levels. Learn everything from basic rhythms and grooves, to arrangements, technique, and much more. We love to perform in concerts across London, the rest of the country, and abroad including our main course in Rio de Janeiro, spreading the energy and magic of Samba music to anyone who wants to get involved.
During workshops, you’ll experience a variety of contemporary rhythms straight from the carnivals and baterias of Brazil. They’re perfect for groups of students, businesses, and more.
Samba Residential Courses
In the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside, join us for an all-inclusive residential weekend where you’ll be inspired by traditional and modern rhythms from Brazil’s carnival scene. With food and accommodation included, there will be breakout groups, camp fire sessions, and plenty to learn on individual Brazilian instruments and group work.
